A few weeks ago, we took a break from cleaning the cabin to hike with friends nearby at Home Quarry in the George Washington National Forest. This trail leads to an incredible spot to take a break & eat lunch. It’s lovingly referred to as ‘lovers leap.’ We didn’t jump!! ☺️

After cleaning & changing linens I do a quick ‘once over’ to high traffic surfaces like light switches & doorknobs with a sanitizing wipe!

Ketchup, mustard, Mayo, & syrup.
Olive oil, salt, pepper, and leftover spices from previous guests.

New guests arrive tomorrow just in time for the snow. Their family wanted to be ‘snowed-in’ in a cabin while in VA. What’s more perfect than leaving marshmallows & cocoa mix for them upon arrival? Also, left some practical items such as the snow shovel & ice melt in a handy location to help them dig out!

I am always looking for ways to make guests at Woodside Retreat feel special and well taken care of.
