Host Q&A time! We get asked so many questions about host life, here are some popular ones. Ask any of your questions in the comments or PM for a future Q&A!
Q: Why did you choose Dayton, TN?
A: The location of our cabins is nestled on a steep property which leads to a grand view of Lake Chickamauga. It’s a mountain secluded feel, with water at the same time. Best of both worlds!
Q: How do you juggle managing a cabin with a large family? (We have 4 incredible kids!)
A: It’s a team effort and everyone has a role. We are a spontaneous family and love a challenge that we can tackle together. Grandparents are a blessing and a huge help! Of course there are stressful moments, but the whole reason we bought the cabin was for the family adventures, experience and memories-and we are happy to share this with you all as well.
Q: What’s your favorite part of Mystic River Lodge?
A: It’s different for everyone. The kids love the gaming table and outdoor terrain to get messy in hands down! Shane likes the wood detailing and the warmth that it creates, while I appreciate the early morning lakeside views alongside the constant surrounding nature. Seeing the deer, hundreds of birds and bass in lake is serene.
Q: What’s your biggest hosting challenge?
A: Wishing we could be closer to our guests! We are always so curious to know how our guests are experiencing all the details that we put into the cabins and property. This is why our guest book entries and reviews are always so appreciated, and we strive to share the best experience possible. ♥️
