The “Royal Plantation” was built in 1900 and completed restoration in 2015…the Historic Plantation has gone through over (1) million dollars in renovations to restore it to its former glory and new place in the history of DeRidder and the historic District of Stephen Heights neighborhood. It has been said that this neighborhood is the heart and soul of Southern culture and music. We look forward to your event and offer the following amenities:
Conveniently located minutes from downtown, 2 blocks off The Ronald Reagan, (Hwy 171 S.) (R) onto Hwy 190 West toward Texas. Downstairs will fit 100 folks standing, 75 seating and food vendors of all events. Upstairs has 3 bedroom and 3 bathrooms, with a washer & dryer for guest convenience, ironing board, seamstress for last minute quick fixes. Balcony capacity with food and drink vendors booths capacity is 20- 25 folks, overlooking Royal main street. There is an elegantly furnished and separate dressing space with 3 areas-a dressing room with make up mirrors, a bath and shower and sitting area with televisions that allow you to see and hear what is going on in the main room. Our wedding staff offers the bride and groom an a la carte menu meaning that we will rent the facility, by itself and refer them to local Vendors to do it all from start to finish. The Historic Royal St. Plantation B&B Hotel was designed by the prominent New Orleans architect, James Gallier. Originally, built by James Monroe Jean, and John Thomas Jean of Leesville, for Dr. Sartor of DeRidder and his family, construction started in 1897. To reflect the Southern Plantations built on the Mississippi River in South Louisiana. The front porch and back deck Suite boasts to be our most desirable gathering place on property.
