On that tragic day, September 11, 2001, Deer Park lost members of our own community. Twenty-five years later, their names, their lives, and their sacrifice remain forever in our hearts and a part of who we are.

The Deer Park Fire Department is asking our community to show up and remember with us. 🇺🇸

For generations, when our neighbors have needed us, we have answered the call. On Sunday, September 13th, we’re asking you to answer ours.

Join us alongside our local organizations, families, friends, and neighbors as we honor the Deer Park residents we lost on that tragic day, remember all those whose lives were taken on September 11th, and honor those we have lost since due to 9/11-related illnesses.

We show up for our community. On this day, we hope our community will show up with us.

Please help us spread the word. Share this post with your friends, family, and neighbors so we can bring as much of the Deer Park community together as possible. The more of us who stand together, the stronger the message that Deer Park will never forget. 🇺🇸

Long Island's Largest Italian Feast is back! The 53rd Annual Feast of Mother Cabrini runs Aug. 28–30 & Sept. 3–7 at Suffolk County Community College in Brentwood — free admission and parking. Expect fireworks spectaculars, the Children's Magical Illusion Show, live bands nightly, a quarter-mile Food Corso, rides, and special days like Kids' Day, the Island Harvest Food Drive, International Food Sampler Day, and a Labor Day Read & Ride special. 🇮🇹

Dear Brothers, Sisters, Families, and Friends,
The Giuseppe A. Nigro Lodge #2234 is proud to invite you and your family to the 53rd Annual Great Feast of Mother Cabrini at Suffolk County Community College – Grant Campus in Brentwood.
The feast will be held August 28–30 and September 3–7, 2026, featuring great food, exciting rides, games, entertainment, and fun for the entire family.
We are especially excited to announce our Read & Ride Day on Monday, September 7!
Children in grades K through 8 can earn an unlimited ride bracelet for only $20 by participating in the Read & Ride program.
To participate, children should:
Read two books approved by a parent or teacher.
Write a brief summary of each book.
Children age 6 and under may draw a picture about the book.
Have a parent or teacher sign the completed form.
Bring the original completed form to the Newton Shows Ticket Booth on Monday, September 7.
This is a wonderful opportunity to encourage our children to read while rewarding them with a fun-filled day at the feast!
Please share the attached Read & Ride Report Form with your family, friends, schools, and neighbors. We hope to see everyone come out and support another great year of the Feast of Mother Cabrini.
