Last week, we said goodbye to Harvey Erickson, at 95 years old. Loss is never easy, especially when you’re saying goodbye to someone who has been such a big part of Camp Holiday. His presence has been woven into Camp Holiday for nearly five decades!

If you’ve spent time any time here over the years, chances are you saw Harvey cruising around in his golf cart or side-by-side, checking on things, making his rounds, or heading to happy hour.

Harvey and Ann purchased Camp Holiday in 1979 and ran it for 24 years before Therese (their daughter) and Paul took over. They poured their hearts into this place and helped create the Camp Holiday that so many of us know and love today.

His legacy is more than the campground itself. It’s the friendships, the stories, and the countless memories made here over the years. So many people loved Harvey, and his presence will always be a part of Camp Holiday.

Our family invites you to join us for his Celebration of Life Open House on August 30, 2026, from 1:00 to 4:00pm at Camp Holiday.
