⚔️ Something extraordinary is coming to STSR!

We are proud to announce the Inaugural STSR Renaissance Fair — March 13–15, 2026 right here at Spanish Trail Scout Reservation!

Scout units are invited to camp the full weekend for just $20 per person (and yes, that includes an exclusive event patch). Saturday, March 14 is open to the public from 9 AM to 5 PM — day passes are only $10, and they can be reserved in advance or purchased at the gate.

Here’s a taste of what’s in store:

⚔️ Jousting, archery, tomahawk throwing, slingshots, unicorn races, foam fighting, blacksmithing, and a massive rope maze through our own woods
🎪 Comedy, dancing, interactive whip cracking, and a magic show on the main stage
🛍️ 30+ vendors with food trucks, crafts, books, face painting, balloon art, Renaissance gear, and more
🪙 Every youth receives a bag of gold coins to spend on activities throughout the day — run out? Buy more at the ticket booth!
🔥 Saturday evening closing campfire at Whipple Circle — including a special Gulf Coast Council AOL Crossover Ceremony at 7:30 PM

This is a Gulf Coast Council event, and we couldn’t be more excited to host it here at STSR. We hope to see you, your family, and your entire unit on these grounds March 13–15.

Spanish Trail Scout Reservation is gearing up for a record breaking Winter Camp!

We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help make this year's unforgettable! Winter Camp will run this year from December 27-31 and it'll bring all the excitement from summer camp but with cooler weather and double the fun!

You don't have to commit for the entire session. We know the holidays are busy and we're happy to work around that. Staffing is fully volunteer-based and every helping hand makes a huge difference for the Scouts attending.

Big things are happening out at STSR, as always!

We were fortunate enough to have 24 Scouters and 11 team Rubicon volunteers took down, limbed, cleared and sorted over 150 trees in 2 days! We are trying to be proactive in eliminating as many trees we can that propose a fall risk. As well as to open the current roadways and tight turns to make room for our growth and expansion!

We are also trying to repurpose the good timber sections for the future campsite pavilions!
This is project is a Massive undertaking! We simply couldn’t even put a dent in it without these volunteers that stepped up to help their camp this weekend! It allowed Team Rubicon to keep moving, clearing campsites of more risks and widening our roads. And will save us thousands on our campsite pavilions!

Come join us out at Spanish Trail Scout Reservation for two days of STEM fun! Great lessons in the greater outdoors!

$16 for each day, which includes lunch at the Dining Hall. Nova patches for first-time Nova participants will cost an additional $8, and Pi pins for previous Nova patch recipients are an additional $4. There will be a $3 late fee.

Session 1 (July 12) we are offering 2 classes: the Fearful Symmetry and the Nova Wild STEM Nova.
Session 2 (July 26) we are offering 2 classes: the Uncovering the Past and the Down and Dirty STEM Nova.
Max of 15 Cubs (Wolf through AOL) in each class. Lunch is provided at the Dining Hall.

Nova Patch ($8) and Pi Pin ($4) are also available for purchase.
