Is Del Norte, and specifically the Windsor Hotel, the center of the Long Distance Cycling World? For one night at least!

In the last 24 hours, two titans in their specialty stopped for a brief rest. 1st place CDT racer (racing from Canada to Mexico), Victor Bosoni () , grabbed a few hours of rest at the Windsor Hotel last night (current standings available here: https://trackleaders.com/tourdivide26). 6th place Race Across America rider Jonas BC's Team Domingo () support crew found a few hours of rest at the Windsor during the day yesterday (current standings available here https://www.raceacrossamerica.org/raamweb/raam_menu/).

The Windsor Hotel and Del Norte are at the crossroads of these two routes with both going right past the hotel. The Continental Divide Trail running north south through town and the Race Across America (RAAM) running east west on Hwy 160.

The Blueberry Vodka Spritz has entered the chat like a linen shirt with bad intentions. Fresh blueberries, lemon, soda water, and 1874 Vodka all piled into one cold sparkling glass that tastes like summer finally remembered your phone number. Crisp, bright, dangerously easy to drink. The kind of cocktail that turns “I’ll just stop in for one” into suddenly standing around talking about cryptids, old road trips, and whether onion rings are secretly superior to fries.

Happy Hour(s) rolling Friday & Saturday from 4–6 at the Windsor Tasting Room, along with the usual spread of craft cocktails, snackies, good conversation, and that particular low-lit weekend energy that makes you forget you were ever planning to stay home. The 1874 Food Truck is out back slinging burgers and fries, and Del Norte is slowly waking up for another summer of live music, late nights, and questionable decisions made for all the right reasons.

There’s a very specific kind of magic to a weekend at the Windsor Tasting Room when absolutely nothing “official” is happening. No band hauling amps through the front door. No brunch crowd debating whether three pickles is too many pickles in their Bloody Mary. Just cocktails, strange little conversations, free snackies appearing like woodland spirits with a liquor license, and the kind of low-stakes atmosphere where you accidentally stay three hours longer than intended because somebody handed you a cocktail and suddenly you’re discussing ghost towns, cryptids, or whether Pac-Man is technically performance art.

Happy Hour(s?) crash into the station Friday and Saturday from 4-6 with cocktail specials, complimentary snacks, and enough vibes to power a medium-sized lighthouse. Meanwhile, out back at the 1874 Food Truck/Courtyard Grill/Best Burger In Town Allegedly, we’re doing the Half Price Burger thing Saturday because apparently we enjoy creating chaos. Sunday, however, the distillery will be quiet for Mother’s Day. Go celebrate your mother. Call your mother. Bring your mother flowers. Do not bring your mother to an empty tasting room asking where the brunch oysters are.

Tonight is the night! Come out and support our elementary students as they travel to Boston to learn about early American History. The food truck will be serving a $15 Boston Special. 30% of all sales will support the kids on their trip. 5-8pm tonight, April 30. Hope to see you all there!
