Another amazing piece of Lou’s artwork has found a new home!

Paige, a local resident, recently acquired an acrylic study painted by Lou of her family’s historic home in Delphos. She and her siblings believed it would be a perfect gift for their Dad on Father’s Day. She said this home is where they share many memories and it is where they have their family holidays. Thus, they believed this was the perfect gift! The art was given to her Dad on Father’s Day and she says he LOVED IT!

We display many of Lou’s paintings throughout the guesthouse for our guests to enjoy, and they do! Much of his work is for sale. Have something from the past or a loved one’s image that you have always wanted to have professionally painted? Lou is available to do commissioned work of all types! FEATURED GUEST: Met Chelsee, originally from Delphos, she now resides in the Melbourne Florida area. She recently was crowned Miss Florida Strong for America! The Miss for America Strong pageant is an event related to the Mrs. America organization, celebrating unmarried women for their achievements and community service. Chelsee has been a guest of ours many times over the past several years. She told us she considers the guesthouse her home away from home, a safe place to stay. Please join us in congratulating her on her new achievement! Congratulations Chelsee and good luck in the upcoming Miss for America Strong pageant! ‼️

FEATURED GUEST: Meet Isabel, from Long Island NY. Isabel works for NYU Langone Hospital doing patient access in the emergency room. She traveled to Ohio to be at her brother’s graduation from UNOH, where he studied heavy duty diesel technology. Isabel said she had a wonderful stay with us. She described the guesthouse decor as gorgeous & welcoming. She said the space allowed her to completely relax and unwind after a long drive. It was our pleasure to have Isabel stay with us and she is welcome back anytime!

FEATURED GUESTS; Meet Tom & Liz, regular guests who stay with us when visiting the area. Originally from Ottoville, they moved to Shepherd, Michigan in 1951. They returned this past weekend to see the Big Boy Train that was traveling from Wyoming to Philadelphia as part of America’s 250th birthday celebration. The Union Pacific Big Boy No. 4014 is the world's largest operating steam locomotive. Built in 1941 to haul heavy World War II freight over the Wasatch Mountains, this 1.2-million-pound, 133-foot-long "living legend" is on a massive cross-country tour and it stopped in Continental Ohio for approximately 40 minutes. Tom says there were thousands of onlookers there to view this piece of history. While in the area, they were able to visit with Tom’s Aunt & Uncle and other friends who still reside in the area. Tom & Liz are always welcomed guests!

FEATURED GUEST: Meet Mary, an avid Buckeye Trail hiker, from Willoughby, Ohio. She’s a retired Cleveland area social worker. She enjoys hiking and the outdoors which has contributed to her youthfulness & longevity. At 82 years young, she just hiked 12 miles this past weekend with her friend Paul. To date, she has completed 663 miles on the trail. She hikes with her friends and grandchildren. She says hiking the Buckeye Trail has taken her to places in Ohio she never heard of. Mary is an avid golfer and bowler as well. She’s a repeat guest at the guesthouse and is welcome back anytime! Mary is both amazing and inspiring!

FEATURED GUEST: Meet Paul from central Ohio. This past weekend he and his co-hiker, Mary, completed 12 miles on the Buckeye Trail. Paul at 69, is still going strong working full time as an accountant. Besides hiking, he enjoys running and has completed several marathons. It was a pleasure to have Paul stay with as well as all the other Buckeye Trail hikers who stay with us from time to time. Paul’s desire to stay active and healthy is inspiring! (Mary will get her own featured guest post soon!)

FEATURED GUESTS: Meet Nilah, Vaeda & Zyden, my grandkids. They were my guests last week for 5 nights at my home in Fort Lauderdale. As a proud grandparent, I could not resist sharing them in our featured guest series. They are 10, 2 & 7 months. While they were with me we had lots of diaper changes & a few temper tantrums. Most of all we had lots of fun & love! These little people are the best part of getting older! ❤️
