Stay-In-Place Guidance & Rainbow Parks Policy Updates

Though it has been a few weeks since our last update, Escapees and Parks leadership have been meeting regularly to evaluate and amend our COVID-19 response. To keep members informed of what to expect in coming weeks, we feel it is important to provide additional insight and thoughts as to when and how you might see changes to existing policies for Escapees RV Parks and the Stay-in-Place guidance. Please understand that the situation continues to change and influence our decisions, on a regular basis. We hope you agree that we must all remain flexible and adapt as needed.

Late afternoon on April 8, we were surprised to learn that Escapees Dream Catcher RV Park in Deming, New Mexico, would no longer be able to accept new guests due to the governor’s latest orders. As such, park staff were instructed to cancel all incoming registrations, though guests currently in the park should be permitted to stay.

It was our understanding that the new rules would not affect RV Parks such as ours as we have temporarily adjusted our policies to provide a secure parking location for full-time RVers. It appears that different counties are interpreting the orders slightly differently. We are working with local officials to help them better understand the need for RVers to use RV Parks for long-term shelters at this time. We will keep you updated and reach out to any members with future reservations as soon as possible. This is not affecting those currently in the park.

Please know that we do not agree with the enforcement of these policies for RV parks, such as ours, that are supplying long-term only occupants. We have implemented numerous precautions and have greatly adjusted our park policies in order to provide a safe location for RVers to stay in place while still keeping the safety of the guests, staff, and local community as a top priority.

COVID-19 UPDATE
You will also see changes at our Rainbow Parks. For the safety of our park staff and guests, access to certain amenities will be restricted for the foreseeable future.

All park buildings are closed and locked to the general public, including campground staff and park residents, until further notice with exception to laundry rooms and exterior-accessible restrooms. This includes park offices, activity centers, clubhouses, etc.

Park offices are closed to outside guests. If you need to make a reservation, ask a question, make a payment, etc, you will have to call the park office. Staff will still be available during regular office hours, but face-to-face interaction is discouraged.

Lastly, social hours, meals, and formal community gatherings are canceled until further notice.

Pet Policy Update at Escapees Rainbow Parks

To protect you and your furry loved ones, Escapees will be introducing a new pet policy effective January 1, 2017. Escapees Rainbow Parks will begin asking if your pets are up to date on vaccinations during the registration and check-in process. Proof of vaccinations will not be required during this process to keep your registration simple and fast as possible. We hope that this notice will give you time to address vaccinations your pet may need before the policy goes into effect.

The policy will take place at the following parks:

Rainbow Plantation – Summerdale, AL
Sumter Oaks – Bushnell, FL
Raccoon Valley – Heiskell, TN
Turkey Creek – Hollister, MO
North Ranch – Congress, AZ
TRA Park - Pecos, TX

We fell it is in the spirit of Escapees to ensure that our parks are safe and worry free. We all love our pets and hope that you understand and support this policy as human and pet interaction is expected since we are pet-friendly parking system.
