WHOA! Don’t wig out but it’s time again for The Forgotten 80's Prom! 🤩

When the Class of 1989's Prom was canceled because of a fire, a promise was made that the students would have their prom when the school was rebuilt. Ten years have passed and the Class of 1989 is finally getting to have their prom and
YOU'RE INVITED! 😎

Come party with this misfit group of students...well, former students now! Dust off that taffeta dress, find that white tuxedo in the back of your closet and tease those bangs to heaven! You get to be part of the Class of 1989's Forgotten Prom while you listen to the best 80's music and Dance, Dance, Dance. 🎶

Interact with the former star quarterback, the nerd, the cheerleader, the bad boy and other "interesting characters". Find the answers to the burning questions: Have people changed? What will be different after ten years? And how did the fire start? Also, it's 1999 and with the fear of the new millennium (Y2K) upon them......... anything can happen! 👀

A bald eagle was recently brought to the SPCA Serving Erie County's Wildlife Department by the NYSDEC after being found by a concerned homeowner in Derby, NY. When he arrived, he was weak, unable to stand, and his eyes were closed — but the spark of a wild eagle was still there. Thankfully, he had no broken bones, tested negative for avian flu, and his blood lead levels were low.

At first, he wouldn’t eat on his own and had difficulty keeping down the food we hand-fed him, likely due to trauma and inflammation in his esophagus. With patience, careful tube feeding, and gentle care, he began eating independently — and we are hopeful he will be ready to return to the wild soon!

Caring for these large, powerful birds comes with unique challenges. They need more food, medicine, and space, and require extra precautions when administering treatments. But being entrusted with these federally protected birds — and all wildlife — is a privilege we take seriously. Every life we help reminds us why this work matters!
