A vacation rental should feel like more than a place to sleep.

We’ve been putting a lot of love into Koi Springs and adding little experiences throughout the property — from mornings by the koi pond and wellness time under the desert sun to afternoons on the tanning ledge and evenings in the spa.

There is a strange thing that happens at Koi Springs.

People walk into the backyard…

and somehow the plans start disappearing.

Lunch out?

Maybe later.

Shopping?

Tomorrow.

doing absolutely nothing starts feeling like a very good plan.

The hotel had a pool.

But we wanted more than a pool.

We wanted to wake up, grab coffee and walk straight outside.

We wanted our own mineral saltwater pool.

🌴 Ever wonder how those incredibly tall California palm trees get trimmed?

Watching a professional climb and cut a towering palm is impressive—but this is definitely not a simple landscaping job.

Palm trimming at this height requires experience, specialized equipment, careful planning, and serious attention to safety. Heavy palm fronds can fall with tremendous force, tools are being used high above the ground, and the worker has to manage everything while secured to the trunk.

In Southern California, keeping palms properly maintained isn’t just about appearance. Removing dead and heavy fronds can help reduce falling debris and keep the area around the tree safer.

Definitely one of those jobs that makes you appreciate the people who know how to do it properly. 🌴😳
