Good news to share! Our condo came through the storm safely. Aside from a minor bit of water coming in at the front door, there is no damage inside.

Jessica (Theresa’s cleaner) went out this morning to inspect the property and took this video of the beach. The HOA property management reported that there is some damage to the boardwalk, but overall we are so relieved and grateful everything held up so well.

A huge thank you to Theresa, who was our eyes and ears on the ground and took care of things when we couldn't be there ourselves.

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who reached out with love, check-ins, and prayers—we even had one of our wonderful, faithful guests offer to come down and help us make repairs if needed! Your kindness means the world to us.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with everyone across the area during cleanup and recovery!

Boil water notice for Crystal Beach area. No power. Can't boil water on our electric stove.

UPDATE: BOIL NOTICE IS IN EFFECT FOR THE EAST DESTIN CRYSTAL BEACH AREA.
Should that become necessary at any point, they will notify us, and we would share the information with you all immediately.

Huge thanks to our friends, family, and renters checking in! We are safe at home. The hurricane hasn't hit yet, so we won't know about damage until it passes, but we are beyond blessed to have Trascher keeping us informed. Those of you who have stayed with us know she is absolute gold! Thinking of everyone in the storm’s path tonight and will post an update soon. 🤍

Be safe!

The City of Destin is continuing to monitor Tropical Storm Isaias. While the forecast may change, now is a good time for residents and businesses to take a few simple steps to prepare before conditions begin to deteriorate this Friday.

Please secure loose items around your home or business, make sure storm drains and drainage areas around your property are clear, gas up vehicles, charge phones and portable batteries and make sure you have the basic supplies you may need if we experience power outages or heavy rainfall.

A reminder for Friday’s trash collection: Please retrieve and secure your garbage cans as soon as possible after they are emptied. Empty cans can easily become airborne during high winds and create an additional hazard. Please do not place limbs, leaves, grass clippings, or other debris in streets, swales, or drainage areas.

We’ll continue to monitor Isaias and provide additional information as it becomes available.
