Great location! Lots of room!
The house was located in a great location and had LOTS of room! We are a family of 8 and had so much room. We loved the little side apartment area since we have a little toddler and the outside patio and pool area. Even though we were worried about Hurricane Irma, we were able to still enjoy most of our trip but we were sad we had to leave a little early from our beautiful vacation. The owners, Katherine and David were so accommodating and helpful and kept in communication with us while we were discussing plans for the hurricane. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants a beautiful house in a great location! We will be back for sure!

I rented this beach house in April 2017 for my wedding and it was absolutely amazing. The house was well taken care of and super clean. The pool was amazing and its in walking distance to the beach so you don't even have to drive and get sand all in the car. I was from out of state and getting in touch with the owners was so easy it made booking and everything such a smooth process. We are already planning another trip back down to Florida and to this wonderful house!!

Amazing home and location - great owners!

When I began researching a last minute stay in the Destin area for Easter weekend, Peace Place stood out from its competition mostly due to the private pool, location close to the beach, and willingness to allow a family pet. I was impressed to receive a not only quick but also personal and courteous response from an actual homeowner--not the canned management company response I had become used to from past rental experiences. It was a no brainer--I was excited to choose Peace Place for our Easter weekend getaway.

Everything was arranged easily only a day before our arrival. We arrived late in the evening, which has created inconvenient issues with other rentals in the past. This time, we arrived without a glitch, and as an added bonus, the pool heat we had requested had actually been set up and the pool couldn't have been more comfortable for a late night swim.

It wasn't until morning that my group of 6 friends was able to get fully acclimated to this beautiful home. The setup with a separate complete apartment in the back of the house is roomy and a brilliant layout. The main kitchen was quite spacious and accommodated us well even as several friends from the area came for a visit. The gas grill is piped directly into a line and thus requires no propane tank--how convenient! Parking was ample and convenient, and the furnishings throughout the house were all in good order and very comfortable.

As we initially intended to use the home as a base for quick visits to the beach, we rented a golf cart for our stay in order to haul us and our beach toys right to the water. This was perfect for the easy 2-3 block commute to two tremendously beautiful beach access points. The beaches in this area are spectacular, but it was a bit windy at the beach throughout our stay and the red flags were up. While as a group of water lovers we normally would have tolerated that, we didn't have to--we had water right in our yard. The landscaping is indeed peaceful, and the pool itself is a perfect venue to enjoy a couple of days of relaxation, and we are so glad we did!

Peace Place is truly a wonderful home in a great location that is owned by great people. Overall, it's an amazing value in light of the location and accommodations, and I look forward to staying again in the future for much longer than a weekend!

Fantastic Destin experience! ★ ★ ★ ★ ★
My extended family rented Peace Place for our spring break week and were really blown away by how comfortable, roomy and beautiful the place is. The heated pool was ideal for the kids and the private patio was really the icing on the cake. Every time we needed to talk to staff they were courteous and responsive.

We very much enjoyed our vacation. The house was wonderful,especially all the room on the bottom floor for us old folks. The beach is a short walk away and is very accessible. We hope to stay again soon. Thank you for letting us share your home. The kids really enjoyed the heated pool !!

Best Christmas Ever

This was our first time having a destination Christmas. This house really was the icing on the cake. The house is a GREAT size for a family reunion. There are plenty of rooms and beds! The place was very clean when we arrived, even with them having a fully booked month! On top of that, I didn't realize that Destin was in Central time, so we were going to arrive about two or three hours before our check in time at 4. I just called them to see if there would any way that we could check in early, and they did whatever it took to make sure the house was clean before we arrived! The beach is literally a short 4 minute walk. (WE TIMED IT!). The beach is a private beach so it's very clean, white sands, water is sparkling blue. Back to the house though. The backyard/pool area is amazing. When you're laying out on the pool chairs, you feel like you're in an oasis. They designed the backyard VERY WELL. They also have a box full of beach stuff that you can take to the beach! How convenient! Overall, this trip was amazing because of this house. The owners were also VERY communicative and on top of everything. They really wanted to ensure that we had an awesome vacation. I typically don't write reviews, unless I'm extremely upset about something. But I HAD to write a review for this house. I wanted future guests to know that this house as well as the owners are truly amazing. I will definitely be recommending this house to my friends and family as well. Thank you so much!!
