The 143-room Trumbull and Porter hotel Detroit has undergone a major renovation touching all aspects of the hotel including guest rooms, drinks and dining, fitness center and outdoor space. What began as an exciting vision in 2017 has now come full circle. The transformation of Trumbull and Porter Hotel is officially complete!

Back in 2017, Trumbull and Porter was part of a new and exciting chapter for the neighborhood. But like many businesses, the hotel faced unprecedented challenges beginning in 2020. Through 2023, the hotel experienced difficult times, and the vision of creating one of the most fun, welcoming, and memorable hotels in the area needed a fresh start.

That fresh start began in 2023, and in 2024, new management stepped in with a clear mission: make Trumbull and Porter the cleanest and friendliest hotel in the area.

The “Clean & Friendly” program was launched to transform the guest experience, rebuild the hotel’s reputation, and bring the original vision back to life. Through renewed leadership, dedicated teamwork, and a commitment to excellence, the results have been remarkable.

Today, that transformation is reflected in our growing reputation and improved guest reviews across major travel websites, including Expedia.

But we didn't stop there!

With the addition of 20G Coffee Shop and Red Dunn Kitchen, Trumbull and Porter has evolved into more than just a hotel. It’s a place to stay, eat, relax, meet friends, enjoy a game, and experience the best of what Detroit has to offer.
