There’s a link in their bio to help with food etc for the hundred of cats they care for at the sanctuary and in community locations. There’s always something fun to do in Maine. Have you been to the upcoming Maine Cheese Festival in Pittsfield? Sept 13th this year and we look forward to attending.

In just one month, the Maine Cheese Festival gets going in Pittsfield as one of the tastiest celebrations of Maine-made food all year! The 10th annual festival takes place Sunday, September 13, at Manson Park, bringing together more than 65 Maine-made vendors for a full day centered around cheese, local food, drinks, music, and the people who produce it all. Visitors can sample different Maine cheeses, purchase favorites to take home, and meet cheesemakers and farmers while learning more about how their products are made.

There is much more to explore beyond the cheese tables, with local food and specialty products found throughout the festival grounds. Live music plays during the day, while educational experiences give visitors a closer look at Maine’s cheesemaking and farming traditions. A featured cheese competition adds another fun part to the event, and adults can stop by the b**r and w**e tent for drinks that pair well with the many cheeses being sampled. Families are welcome, making this an easy festival to enjoy while walking around Manson Park, tasting your way through Maine’s food scene, meeting local makers, and discovering cheeses you may never have tried before.

Tomorrow’s festival day!! Are you ready? We have 6 guests who are starting their day of Maine Red Hot Dog Festival by doing the 5k bun run. Everyone else will be having breakfast then heading down the hill to enjoy the festival

On August 8th, the Maine Red Hot Dog Festival takes place as one of the most delicious events of year in the Pine Tree State! Held rain or shine in downtown Dexter from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., this free festival fills the town with the smell of W.A. Bean red hot dogs, live music, food stands, craft vendors, and classic summer fun. Visitors can start the day with the Bun Run 5K, then wander through downtown for red snappers, local shopping, b**r and w**e tents, and plenty of small-town Maine charm.

Kids can enjoy the KidZone, children’s games, Magic Wes Wonder, and the Children’s Cupcake Eating Contest, while grown-ups can watch the Hannaford’s Red Hot Dog Eating Contest. One of the most fun sights is the Dexter Fire Department’s Red Hot “Duck” Race. With five Red Hot Stages offering live entertainment all day, this Dexter Development Association fundraiser brings people downtown to eat, laugh, listen to music, and celebrate one of Maine’s most famous foods, with crowds gathered along Main Street for a full day of cheerful festival energy.

What a fantastic place that we at the Brewster Inn wholehartedly support. They were incredible when we had our first stray cat Brownie that gave us her trust and again now we have Mr Meringue aka Buddy. And only 20 minutes away and yes we have guests go visit them

If you know us you know how near and dear Spirits Place is to us. Not only for the help they gave us with our precious Brownie and now “Buddy” but all the amazing work they do for cats and the local communities. If only everyone had a heart like all those associated with spirits place ❤️
