Happy 4th of July! There is a parade in Dickinson this morning starting at 10am. Tonight there is a fireworks show.

Medora is still having there festivities continuing today. Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library opens, officially today. Tonight ends with a drone show at 9:45.

We are pleased to announce the return of Pegasus Illuminations in partnership with the DSU Henry Biesiot Activities Center for our fireworks display on Saturday, July 4th!

The BAC will open at 9PM, the show begins at 10PM, and it will be visible throughout west Dickinson and beyond. The fireworks are launched from the nearby practice football field. The stadium proved to be a great place to view the show in 2025.

The show is a 'pyromusical', meaning that the visual display is synced with music played through the stadium PA system. Spectators outside the stadium can sync the audio through 88.7 FM on your radio dial.

On the morning of July 4, 2026 — America's 250th birthday — the Theodore Roosevelt Presidential Library is dedicated and declared open, in the heart of the North Dakota Badlands that made Roosevelt the leader he became.

It begins the way his West did. Riders come in on horseback. A fanfare sounds from the rooftop. Flags rise against the buttes. A blessing opens the ground, the national anthem rolls across the prairie — and the Library is officially opened, for the first time in history.

No livestream captures what it feels like to stand on that ground for the moment it happens. You have to be there.

The Grand Opening Ceremony is completely FREE. The only catch: space is limited, and you must register in advance.

One note: this free ticket is for the ceremony itself — the dedication out on the campus. Gallery admission is a separate, timed-entry ticket.
