Vert, both standing for "vertical" and French for "green," is a planned bed-and-breakfast community created by skiers, for skiers (and our boarder friends too!). Most of the serious skiers we know want to save the drama for the powder stashes, NOT dealing with the see-and-be-seen crowds at the resorts. Many of them want to ski the big areas and don't feel like dealing with the paparazzi attitudes.
And they, above all, want that snow to be available for generations to come. Here is where Vert comes in. We are starting small, with a planned development of 4-6 yurts, each accommodating 2-4 guests. Each until will be rooted in both green and tiny house principles. Common spaces will abound with access to a common yurt for breakfast and apres as well as the usual hot tub we have all come to enjoy after a day on the slopes. And we won't just be open in the winter! Most of the mountain communities that we have ever lived in are even MORE fun in the summer! What with biking (road, mountain, and downhill!), boating, climbing, hiking, and any number of other activities, you may never want to leave! Right now we are evaluating locations and working to secure funding to get this project started. Stay tuned! We hope to host you at Vert very soon!
