LeConte Lodge within the Great Smoky Mountains National Park has a wonderful blog where they share trail and weather conditions as well as photos from the top of Mount LeConte. There are 6 different trails to reach Mount Leconte. Consider visiting on your next trip to the Smokies!

The Parkway is fully open for the season!

WEEKEND UPDATE🌲

Today is the official kick off of the 2026 visitor season! All campgrounds, visitor centers, and picnic areas that are operating in 2026 are OPEN and welcoming visitors! 👏

There is plenty to see and do on the Parkway this season. Here's some ideas:
🧺Have a picnic at one of the park's overlooks or picnic areas!
🥾Take a scenic hike!
🌄Watch a sunrise or sunset!
📍Explore the park's neighboring communities!
🏕️Book a campsite and spend a night under the stars!
🎶Visit the Blue Ridge Music Center and listen to the music of the region!
📅Check the park's calendar of events for ranger programs and cultural demonstrations!
