Grateful. Proud. And just getting started. 🏝️
The results are in for Harrisburg Magazine’s Simply the Best 2026, and while Boutique Accommodations Travel Agency was not selected as this year’s winner, I honestly walked away from this experience feeling incredibly grateful.
When I first learned that I had even been nominated, I couldn’t believe it. Then to find out that my little business had made it into the Top 5 and onto the final ballot was something I never expected, especially when I looked at the company I was in.
Boutique Accommodations Travel Agency is just me. One person. No office full of employees. No large staff or team behind the scenes. And I’ve only been doing this for two years.
To be nominated alongside large, established travel agencies, some with multiple employees, offices and decades in the industry and then make it all the way to the Top 5 is something I am genuinely so proud of.
But more than anything, I am grateful for YOU.
Every single person who took the time to vote for me, shared my posts, recommended my business, trusted me with your vacations, referred your friends and family, or simply cheered me on, thank you. You have no idea how much your support means to me.
I absolutely love what I do. Travel planning isn’t something I simply do for work; it has become one of my greatest passions. The fact that I can have designated days off and still find myself wanting to work probably says everything. 😂 I truly can’t imagine doing anything else that would bring me this much joy.
And at the end of the day, I don’t need an award to validate that.
Every message from a client saying, “This was the best vacation we’ve ever taken,” every photo you send me from paradise, every anniversary, honeymoon, birthday, graduation and family memory you trust me to help create, that’s the part that means the most.
So while there won’t be a Simply the Best 2026 title next to my name this year, there is an enormous amount of gratitude in my heart for getting this far after only two years.
Top 5 feels pretty darn special to me.
Thank you for believing in me, supporting this little business of mine, and allowing me to do something I truly love every single day.
