Good morning, Dodge City!

We just had one of the loveliest guests stay with us from across the ocean. She is bicycling across America and on her way to Seattle to meet her family. Right now she is heading toward Garden City, but our winds are slowing her down. Is anyone heading in that direction, who would be willing to give her a lift? She is wearing a red jacket and is just a lovely person. Our weather has put her back a week on this trip - hope you all can help her out on her way! Or just give her support on this adventure. I have always loved the snow, maybe not the cold that comes with it, but the snow itself. It always made me feel happy. As a kid, we would build snowmen and women, have a good snow ball fight then go inside and have some of mom's homemade cocoa while warming up by the pot-belly stove my dad build. Nothing we had or did, growing up was traditional, but those days for us, were always fun, relaxing and happy. Hope you enjoy your snowy days.

I won't deny the last few years have been challenging for everyone, still, we stand tall, we keep the faith and we move forward. This year, 2023, is a blessing - I can feel it. We thrive as a country, as a community and as people. For 2023, the Dodge House will be going through updates and minor changes to bring this beautiful hotel back to its heyday. We will re-open the restaurant and the Saloon. This is our New Year's resolution to you, Dodge City, to all our amazing patrons across the globe, our phenomenal employees and to ourselves.

May 2023 be the year for you and may all your hopes and dreams come to fruition. And from the words of Walt Disney, may all of us "...Keep moving Forward." Happy New Year!!
