To our Rocky River Inn family,
It is with both deep sorrow and profound gratitude that we share that our beloved desk manager, Josephine, is in her final chapter with Hospice , after a courageous battle with cancer.
For several seasons, Josephine was more than the welcoming face of Rocky River Inn — she was its steady heartbeat. Her organization, dedication, and unmistakable warmth shaped the experience of countless guests. Many of you asked specifically to speak with her about your reservations, trusting her attention to detail and the care she gave so freely. That trust was well placed.
Josephine brought structure, grace, and kindness to our services in ways that can never truly be measured. She helped build not just smooth operations, but relationships. She made people feel known.
On a personal note, Josephine was also my dear friend — my “ride or die.” In my own darkest hours, she stood beside me. It is now my honor to stand beside her and her family as we prepare to say goodbye and help provide her with the beautiful, dignified farewell she deserves.
Her family has established an account with Edwards Funeral Home of Doniphan Missouri for those who feel moved to contribute. More than anything, we ask that you carry forward the kindness and attentiveness she modeled so effortlessly.
Rarely do we get the chance to recognize someone’s impact while we can still hold their hand and say thank you. We are choosing to do so now.
With love and gratitude,
Beth Rigdon &
