Yesterday’s hike down the Cliffhouse Trail felt almost unreal — thick moss, deep green ferns, towering trees, the overlook high above the river, and then finally reaching the water’s edge where all you hear is the sound of the current moving through the valley.

No traffic.
No crowds.
No noise.

Just the kind of quiet that people forget they need.

This is one of those places that’s hard to explain until you stand there yourself. 🌿

Happy Mother’s Day to all of the moms, grandmothers, stepmoms, bonus moms, and women who spend their lives caring for others.

One of the greatest privileges of this business is getting to witness families make memories together year after year.

We see moms planning the trips, packing the coolers, organizing the groups, gathering everyone around the table, and somehow still making the whole thing feel special.

Today also feels like the right time to recognize the woman who started all of this.

Our mom, Ann (pictured), founded River of Life Farm with a vision of creating a place where families could slow down, reconnect, and experience the peace of the Ozarks together.

Decades later, that vision still shapes everything we do here.

If you’ve ever called and heard a familiar voice on the other end of the phone, shared a story at the lodge, or spent time making memories here with people you love, you’ve been part of that vision too.

We are grateful for all of the mothers who pour so much of themselves into the people around them every day.
