Fall at Bromley is pure magic.
There’s just something about autumn in Southwest Michigan. The crisp air, brilliant fall color, golden cornfields, harvest season and that first excuse to pull out your favorite sweater.
Come for apple picking and pumpkin patches, cider and farm stands, winding country roads and gorgeous autumn color. Spend your evenings around the campfire making s’mores, soak in the hot tub under the stars, linger over slow mornings at the farmhouse and watch the countryside change with the season.
Fall always seems to arrive in a hurry and disappear just as quickly, which makes it one of the most special times of year at Bromley.
Gather your girlfriends, your family or your favorite people and escape to the country for a few days. There’s truly nothing like fall in Southwest Michigan — and we think Bromley Farmhouse is a pretty magical place to experience it.

⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Another five-star review!
The Fourth of July has always been one of our very favorite holidays, and there’s something extra special about celebrating it at Bromley Farmhouse. The flags are flying, the gardens are in full summer bloom, the porch is ready for long evenings, and of course, we can never resist adding a little red, white & blue throughout the house.

We love creating more than just a place to stay. Our hope is that from the moment you arrive, Bromley feels like an experience—thoughtful, welcoming, a little magical, and full of those small details that make a getaway memorable.

Back to school at Bromley!
Here we are in August, when sharpened pencils, old school books, plaid lunchboxes and that first shiny apple start making an appearance. There’s just something nostalgic about back-to-school season—and we couldn’t resist bringing a little of that old-fashioned schoolhouse charm into the farmhouse.

The kids heading back to school can only mean one thing… fall is just around the corner. And while we’re not quite ready to say goodbye to the sunflowers and long summer days, we have to admit—we’re getting pretty excited for cozy mornings, changing leaves, pumpkins and all the magic of autumn in Southwest Michigan.

Consider this our first little hint of fall at Bromley Farmhouse.

August in the perennial border is pure magic.

Here’s a quick walk through the garden to see what’s putting on a show right now! Our giant perennial hibiscus are opening their dinner-plate-sized blooms, the Rudbeckia is absolutely towering (it has to be close to 8 feet tall!), and a few of the roses are treating us to a beautiful second flush of blooms.
The pumpkins and squash are beginning to make their appearance, and the lilies are filling the air with the most incredible fragrance. The phlox is bursting with vibrant color, the coneflowers are reaching for the sky, and the foxglove continue to steal the spotlight. Of course, the hydrangeas are putting on their annual summer show too.

And the best part? The garden isn’t finished yet. Before we know it, chrysanthemums, and asters will take center stage and carry us beautifully into fall.
Every week brings something new to discover here at Bromley Farmhouse, and that’s one of our favorite parts of the season.

One of the things our guests talk about most isn’t just the cozy beds or beautiful views—it’s the smell of fresh blueberry bread baking when they arrive.

Every loaf is made by hand in our farmhouse kitchen using sweet, juicy Michigan blueberries from Klug’s Blueberry Farm . Baked fresh in our beloved double oven, it’s our little tradition and one of the simplest ways we know to say, “Welcome home.”
This isn’t just a recipe—it’s a family heirloom that’s been shared around our table for years. We love passing that tradition on to every guest who walks through the doors of Bromley Farmhouse. There’s something special about slicing into a warm loaf, pouring a cup of coffee, and gathering around the table with the people you love.
Because at Bromley Farmhouse, we believe the best memories are made around the kitchen table.

There’s something magical about a Southwest Michigan summer day.
The windows are open. The doors are wide. A gentle breeze drifts through the farmhouse carrying the scent of fresh-cut fields, blooming gardens, and warm sunshine. The birds are singing, and every now and then you hear the comforting hum of a tractor rolling past the house.

These are the little moments we love most at Bromley Farmhouse—the peaceful views, the fresh country air, and the simple joy of slowing down and letting nature fill every room.
