Can you believe it has been 20 years? 🎉

Exactly twenty years ago today, on August 10, 2006, a new chapter began. It all started when I bought a book called So You Want to Be an Innkeeper. I read it from cover to cover, took the leap, and bought The Pines of Dresden!

While I run this business as a solo entrepreneur, I certainly haven't done it completely alone. I want to send a massive thank you to Janis, who cooks up the most incredible dinners for our guests, and to Richard, who helps keep absolutely everything running smoothly behind the scenes. I am incredibly grateful for you both! 🙌🍽️⚙️

I also want to send a huge thank you to the wonderful community of Dresden, Ohio. Thank you for being so incredibly welcoming, helpful, and friendly to me and my guests over the last 20 years. I love being a part of this community! 🏡❤️

To every guest who has stayed with me, shared a morning coffee, and made my home part of your travels over the last two decades: thank you from the bottom of my heart. You turned a dream from a book into a beautiful reality.

✨ I would love to hear from you! What is your favorite memory from your stay at The Pines of Dresden? Please share your stories and photos in the comments below! 📸👇

Here is to 20 wonderful years of hospitality—and to many more ahead! ❤️🌲
