For today's , we are highlighting the rich architectural heritage preserved right in our lobby.
This grand mirror is a rare surviving artifact from New York City's historic Ziegfeld Theatre. Designed by renowned architect Joseph Urban, the 1927 theatre was celebrated for its radical, modern Art Deco facade and theatrical grandeur.
Mirroring the lavish aesthetic of the theater itself, this piece stood as a silent witness to Broadway history. It was the exact spot where icons of the American stage, including Will Rogers and W.C. Fields, took a final glance at their attire before walking out to join the Follies' famous synchronized choruses. Though the original theatre was tragically demolished in 1966, this stunning fixture allows us to keep the elegance of the Jazz Age alive.
