Heading to the beach this summer? Make sure you know about the recent changes to the beach tent regulations.

✔️Pack it in, pack it out: Don't leave chairs, tents, umbrellas etc. between 6:30 p.m. and 6:30 a.m. or they may be removed as litter.
✔️Removal from the beach does not mean laying them in or on the dune, under or beside beach stairs, etc. They must be removed entirely from the beach and dune system.
✔️Give lifeguards a clear view: Keep tents 50 ft away from lifeguard stands and beach access points.
✔️ Tent size: Tents cannot be larger than 12x12 ft nor taller than 9 feet. Guy wires can't be longer than the footprint of the tent.
✔️Two tents and/or sunshades may be tied together provided they are perpendicular to the shore. Tents and/or sunshades parallel to the shore may not be tied together nor may they be spaced any closer than 10 feet from each other.
✔️Respect the dunes & wildlife: Leave a 15 ft walkway for emergencies at the dune base and keep your setup 10 ft away from dunes and turtle nests.
✔️Safety first! Make sure all your beach umbrellas and tents are securely anchored.
