We’ve got returning favorites, some fresh faces, and a couple nights that are going to turn into full-on events. If you’ve been waiting for a reason to get out, this is it. Here’s what’s coming to the stage at GoodTimes this month 👇
🎸 Little Black Mountain Band | Fri, May 1st | 7-9pm
Rooted deep in Appalachia, Little Black Mountain Band brings a mix of country twang, classic sounds, and rock that feels right at home. They’ve become a local staple for a reason due to strong vocals, familiar tunes, and a sound that keeps the room moving all night.
🔥 Victor Lawson & Boogie Chillen | Sat, May 2nd | 7-10pm
A full-on party band delivering blues, rock ‘n roll, and funk the way it’s meant to be played. Victor Lawson and Boogie Chillen bring that loud, gritty music that always keeps the room alive. Born in 2010 and known across VA, TN, and WV, Victor’s guitar work and stage presence turn any night into a show.

A Florida native with roots that stretch up the coast, Troy brings soulful, honest music with a deep, rich voice that stands out. Expect blues, soul, funk, and original songs that hit a little deeper.
🎶 Stephen Murray | Sat, May 9th | 7-9pm
Now based right here in Big Stone Gap, Stephen blends indie rock, Americana, and R&B into something that feels both polished and personal. A seasoned songwriter with a story to tell, his sets always pull you in. Be on the look out for new singles!
🎙️ Open Mic Night (Hosted by Brandon Maggard & Stephen Murray) | Thur, May 14th | 7-9pm
This one’s special. Our last two were packed with local talent, first-timers, and some seriously good music. It’s a true listening-room vibe with 15 minutes per performer and real attention from the crowd.
🎷 Blues Drivers: Bike Cruise | Fri, May 15th | 6-9pm
Chicago-style blues done right. Led by “Catfish” Frye on harmonica, this band lives the blues with gritty guitar and soulful rhythm. Plus, we’ve got a Bike Cruise hosted by Joey at Black Horse Cycles with raffles, food, drinks, and plenty going on all evening.
🪕 Banjo Bar-Bee & The Buzz | Sat, May 16th | 7-9pm
Not your granddaddy’s bluegrass. This group flips expectations with a banjo-led twist on hits across genres and generations. You never know what’s coming next with Banjo Bar-Bee and the Buzz but you know it’s going to be fun!
🎻 Mel N Key | Fri, May 22nd | 7-10pm
A blend of Appalachian grit and classical elegance. Key’s roots in bluegrass and southern rock meet Melanie’s violin-driven, emotional style to create something balanced, powerful, and real.
🎸 Junction 4961 | Sat, May 23rd | 7-10pm
A high-energy 4-piece out of the Tri-Cities bringing classic rock, blues, and southern rock favorites. Enjoy a tight, fun, Saturday night with Junction 4961!
🎵 Wakita Young Duo | Fri, May 29th | 7-10pm
Straight out of South Shore, Kentucky, Wakita Young brings soulful country storytelling with a raw, honest edge. Acoustic-driven with beautiful harmonies that hit just right.
🎤 Cody Fair | Sat, May 30th | 7-9pm
Hailing from Elizabethton, Tennessee, Cody Fair brings that 90's country rock sound that's simple, familiar, and easy to settle into for a laid-back night.
