Our Story
The development of the Fond du Lac Campground began back in 1961 when a young couple envisioned a land reclaimed. For folks to experience a snippet of the adventurous Voyagers as they foraged their way up the beautiful St. Louis River, much work needed to be accomplished with river and land clean up. We began planting trees, brushing and cleaning with simple tools: an axe, a wheel barrel and a shovel. Three campsites , a satellite toilet and a drop box for donations confirmed that our campground was in progress. Decades later we have added to our tools, our family and our vision. It has been our joy to share this beautiful site with so many amazing people from various parts of the World. Thank you, we hope to see you here. Fred and Mary Jeanne Vine
