At Sunrise Landing Bed and Breakfast we have the most wonderful guests- Myra, a 91 year old with deep family roots in the Seneca Lake area played our piano recently. This is the second time she and her daughter, Nancy have visited. I love listening to their stories about wonderful times with family on the lake in days gone by.

The plants are flourishing at Sunrise Landing Bed and Breakfast

The gentle rains interspersed with plentiful sunshine in the Finger Lakes are creating a beautiful growing environment for the wine grapes - and for the beautiful plantings at Sunrise Landing Bed Breakfast.
Bob Schiesser’s coleus pots are flourishing- there is something magic here at the lake - by the end of the season they’ll be lush and 3 feet tall.
We’ve added some Columbine in the parking area and a row of Echinacea (Cone Flowers) and Heliopsis Helianthoides (False Sunflowers) along the path from the driveway to the lake to encourage the pollinators.
And to fuel our insatiable appetite for breakfast herbs and vegetables we’ve beefed up our potted herb garden and started a deck garden of cherry tomatoes, extra basil plants and some lettuce.

Baking bonanza at Sunrise Landing B&B today- restocking the muffin inventory with batches of Blueberry, Triple Ginger, Orange Cranberry and Banana Walnut. And keeping the cookie tray filled with Barbara Schiesser’s signature Chocolate Chips! Being an innkeeper is really fun, and baking muffins is my favorite part of the job. Well, to be honest, eating the muffins is even a bit better!
