🚧Our founder, Bill, is back with a construction update here at Cannon Creek!🚧

First, we’re heading down one of the driveways recently put in past some beauitful trees on the way to the accommodation. Then, Bill is taking you inside one of our luxury safari tents for a look at how construction is coming along. 🏕️

And when we say “tent”… this probably isn’t what you’re picturing.

Each one will feature a king bed, kitchenette, spa-inspired bathroom with a a walk-in shower and soaking tub, fireplace, fully insulated for temperature control, full electric in unit, and a private deck with its own hot tub... all surrounded by the Tennessee landscape.

There’s still work to do, but every week it’s getting a little easier to imagine checking in, taking this drive, and calling this place home for a few days.

Cannon Creek was never supposed to be a hotel...

The problem? Bill (our Founder) has never been particularly good at sitting still. 😂

If there’s a trail, he’s taking it. A bluff, he’s climbing it. A creek, he’s following it. And if there’s something on the property we haven’t found yet… Bill is probably already looking for it.

Case in point: In this video, Bill is squeezing his way through a narrow rock passage discovered while exploring the property... because apparently 650 acres means there’s always one more place to check out.

That sense of adventure started long before Cannon Creek.

Bill Westmoreland grew up on a to***co farm in rural North Carolina, finding peace and freedom exploring the woods around him. He later served more than a decade in the United States Marine Corps before going on to build multiple businesses of his own.

Then, as retirement started getting closer, he discovered 650 acres tucked away in the Tennessee mountains.

Creeks. Hidden waterfalls. Towering bluffs. Miles of woods to explore.

It felt like a return to the place he had always been happiest.

So naturally, instead of retiring… he decided to build something. 😂

That land became Cannon Creek.

Today, Bill and his family are transforming it into an intimate, 15-accommodation landscape hotel built around the things he has loved his entire life: nature, adventure, and finding a little peace away from everything else.

And yes, he’s still exploring.
