This June, during National Camping Month, HTR Resorts and Blue Water are partnering with Care Camps Foundation, raising funds for free outdoor camping trips for children with cancer.

Care Camps has been doing this for over 40 years. Free camps, medically supervised, across the U.S. and Canada. No cost to families.

🇺🇸It's Memorial Day Weekend which in Durango means one thing: the Iron Horse Bicycle Classic is back.

Thousands of cyclists race the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad from Durango to Silverton. The whole town shows up. Live music, great food, energy everywhere. It's one of the best weekends of the year to be here.

If you haven't ridden the Durango & Silverton Narrow Gauge Railroad, put it on the list.

A coal-fired steam engine takes you 45 miles through the San Juan Mountains, along cliffs, through canyons, past waterfalls and into Silverton, one of the most beautiful mountain towns in Colorado. It's a full day and worth every minute.

The depot is minutes from HTR Durango. Make it part of the plan. 🚂

Vallecito Lake is about 18 miles from HTR Durango, and if fishing is your thing, you already know the name.

Kokanee salmon, northern pike, rainbow trout …the lake is loaded. And the views aren't too bad either. 🎣🏔️
