Part 1: Pearl goes on an adventure to Ice Lakes outside Silverton! 🏔️ Dancing aspens and conifer forests, wildflowers more colorful with every bend in the trail, and water so turquoise it barely looks real. Rain on the way down to nourish the ground — and keep Pearl cool.

The Hummingbird cabin — before & after! 🎨 From stripped, sanded boards to a fresh, finished coat — this one's officially done. Nice work, Herb! What a transformation.

A little TLC for the Hummingbird cabin! 🎨 Herb’s up on the secure scaffolding, scraping off the old paint and rolling on a fresh coat under the Colorado sun. New paint, same cozy nest!

Found a happy customer this morning 🐝

This thistle is blooming, and the bees are absolutely loving it. Turns out this “weed” is doing some real work — its deep roots loosen the soil and pull up nutrients, while the bloom feeds every pollinator around.

Sometimes the wildest-looking plants earn their keep. 🌸

🐾 The dog fence at Birdsnest is officially finished — and Peanut was the very first to break it in! He enjoyed his own private yard, relaxing in the fresh mountain air. 🌲

A huge thank you to Set Apart Fence & Deck for the craftsmanship and hard work bringing this project to life. Our furry guests (and their humans) thank you too!

Something’s stirring near Birdsnest cabin… 👀🔨

There’s been sawdust in the air, fresh posts in the ground, and a certain four-legged someone supervising every step of the process. Pearl has strong opinions about this project — and honestly, we think she already knows exactly what it’s for.

Can you guess what we’re building?

Stay tuned… 🐾

🏔️ From Peak to Plain: The Florida River’s Journey

Born at Lillie Lake in the Weminuche Wilderness, beneath the shadow of 13,076-ft Florida Mountain. It tumbles through Lake Marie, feeds Durango’s City Reservoir, fills Lemon Reservoir — then flows right past our cabins at O-Bar-O before continuing south to meet the Animas, near the New Mexico line, over a 61.7-mile stretch.

Every glass of water here has a story. Every ripple outside your window started as snowmelt on a 13er.

Come stay where the river runs. 🌊
