1986, thanks to the kindness of prior owners Johnny and Irma McNamara. Erin had waited on Johnny Mac since she was 5 years old (1960s) in her father’s Durango burger joint. When the ranch came up for sale in 2012, Erin and Brad purchased it with the intent of spending as much time there as possible, and building it into a place for families and friends to gather and celebrate. The construction of the home and ‘resurrection’ of all the original buildings was completed September 25, 2014, and their daughter was married there two days later. The Irma J Ranch is a unique blend of modern luxury in the 3,700-square foot ranch-style home, and historic beauty & charm in the turn-of-the-century barn, cabin and other buildings. The barn has been converted to a three-level saloon/loft for entertaining guests during the summer season. It has seasonal hot and cold running water, a 16′ bar, foosball table, Direct TV and many antiques from the area. The cabin is quaint, with high quality finishing touches. A sauna house and seasonal shower house were built in 2014. A large pavilion, open on one side, equipped with 8 tables and 16 benches, two barbequers and three propane heaters was added in 2016. An outdoor movie theater, projecting to a 10′ wide screen on the outside barn wall, provides a novel form of entertainment in the summer & fall evenings. An outdoor volleyball court was added summer 2019. The Irma J Ranch is the perfect place for a family reunion, birthday, or anniversary celebration.
