BRIDGER, SD
Members of the Cheyenne River Grassroots Collective, 2KC Media, and OST/CRST tribal members held space at a nearby Keystone XL pipeyard on Monday, August 24th 2020. This event was designed to bring awareness to all the missing and murdered indigenous relatives that have been lost in direct relation to extraction industries. Police demanded that the powwow be shut down at 12:00 PM MST, but dancers and land defenders held space until 1:30 PM MST. The land that the pipe yard sits on is on 1851 & 1868 Lakota, Dakota and Nakota treaty territory, and is only 7 miles from the Cheyenne River Sioux Tribe's borders. The KXL pipeline is projected to cross under the Cheyenne River without consent from the Lakota people who reside along the river.
Join us in the resistance.

Earlier today brave water protectors locked down at the residence of Kelcy Warren, CEO of , in Dallas.

Energy Transfer Partners (ETP) is the company behind DAPL and the Bayou Bridge Pipeline.

As part of Bayou Bridge, ETP is ignoring a court ruling demanding that they build an evacuation route for the community of St. James, a community of color surrounded by toxic infrastructure. The pipeline ends in this community, and If an accident were to occur, residents have no way to evacuate.

BREAKING: Water Protectors just successfully shut down an Energy Transfer Partners shareholders meeting in Dallas, TX.

All the shareholders were forced to evacuate!

Kelcy Warren, ETP CEO, fled when frontline leaders Ellen Gerhart, Cherri Foytlin and Waniya Locke spoke out about the gross misconduct of ETP projects on the Mariner East, Bayou Bridge, and Dakota Access pipelines. Cherri and Waniya were arrested.

You can see video of the disruption from inside the shareholders meeting here: http://bit.ly/ETP-Shutdown

While this disruption was happening on the inside, another group of protectors marched into the hotel, while several banners were dropped from adjacent buildings.
