Rodeway Inn & Suites, Blythe CA has an immediate need for an on-site experienced maintenance person & house keeper.
What we are looking for:
We are looking for a thorough Maintenance Technician and a house keeper, a husband/wife team would be ideal, to undertake the responsibility to preserve the good condition and functionality of premises. You will perform maintenance tasks of great variety such as painting, AC installations/cleaning, Pool cleaning and maintenance, plumbing, landscaping etc. A Maintenance Technician is a thorough professional with a practical mind and attention to detail. The ideal candidate will be able to work autonomously and responsibly by observing all health and safety guidelines. The goal is to maintain the buildings and common areas in the best possible condition.
Responsibilities for Maintenance Technician:
Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards.
Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, electrical fixtures, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows,screen, door etc.)
Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide when needed
Conduct general upkeep procedures (e.g. landscaping, parking lot maintenance) and other tasks as assigned (stucco work, painting, carpentry, pool cleaning maintenance etc.)
Assist in budget preparation for supplies and ensure it is followed
Skills:
Proven experience as maintenance technician
Basic understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems in motel.
Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods, Working knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
Manual dexterity and problem-solving skills
Good physical condition and strength with a willingness to work on call in emergency.
High school diploma or equivalent; Certificate in HVAC, building maintenance technology or relevant field will be a plus
Responsibilities for House Keeper:
keen eye with a passion for cleanliness. Doing rooms cleaning, making beds, Vacuuming, laundry, folding, stacking
Traits/Quality we are looking for:
Drug/Smoke free, happy,humble,honest, with good attitude, good listener, self-starter, trustworthy, bilingual i.e. Spanish/English a plus to have, whatever it takes personality to get the work done in adverse situations.
What we offer:
A subsidised furnished room accommodation where we will provide a Queen bed, table, chair, desk for clothing, mini fridge, microwave, On the wall 40" flat screen TV, free (electricity, water, internet, cable TV) and based on experience we will pay between $12 to $14 per hour to start with based on experience.
We are looking for a FULL TIME HUSBAND/WIFE team to stay at site preferably.
Requirements:
A background check & Drug test may be required
A valid driver's license and your own vehicle
A valid work permit is required to work in USA
Work schedule is based on the rooms rented may include working on Holidays, weekends, and evenings but mostly between 7 am to noon or longer as the case may be.
Willingness to learn the front desk/office work during busy time ... will train the right person.
