Can’t wait to ride the Hibernator tomorrow! 🍂 The late-fall colors are glowing — sun shimmering through golden foliage, trails rolling smooth, a little October mist hanging in the air.

Looking forward to the camaraderie, the warm hospitality at Honest to Goodness Farm, the incredible food from The Spicy Spoke, and ending the day by the toasty fire back at Burke Basecamp.

Here’s to feeling alive on two wheels, to good friends, to late fall’s magic, and to the simple joy of being outside in the NEK. 🚵‍♀️ See you out there!

Woke up to a chilly Vermont morning and headed straight to Freighthouse Market & Café. Stepped in from the chill to the scent of fresh coffee and baked treats, the hum of conversation, and easy, small-town warmth.

Love their lattes, sweet pastries and savory options like flatbread and breakfast burritos (yum!). There’s something here for everyone — including plenty of plant-based options that make it easy to eat well and feel good!

Just beyond the café, the co-op-style market is a treasure trove of local goodness: Vermont-made maple syrup, cozy knit goods, handcrafted gifts, fresh groceries, and specialty foods. It’s a spot where locals linger, travelers wander in, and community ties grow stronger with every visit.

Gravel, grit, and golden leaves. 🍂✨ The HBRN8R (aka “The Hibernator”) is back in West Burke for a fall gravel and MTB endurance race that shows off the NEK in all its glory.

This mixed-terrain course winds through farmland, forest, and quiet dirt roads — starting and finishing at , where Vermont charm meets adventure. 🚵‍♀️🌄
