🚜🇺🇸 TRACTOR PARADE UPDATE 🇺🇸🚜

After getting there a little late, I had to ride my bike up alongside the parade to catch up.

I passed Reilly’s, who helped organize the parade, and they had a full house. Great to see.

Then I passed Guaranteed Irish, where Kitty Kelly stopped recording just long enough to give me a high five. ☘️👍

I also got to ride with my friends in the Honda 50 Club. 🏍️☘️ Always great seeing those guys.

From there, I blasted my way up the side of the parade — smiling and waving — toward my final goal: the front of the parade, and eventually the Shamrock House for wings and some Irish sessions. ☘️

I made it to the front and got some more video of the tractors, the community, and all the smiling faces along the way. Even slapped a few high fives with the kids. 👍

I was hoping to see “Parade Guy” Mike O’Conner and his parade sidekick Doreen. ☘️😎

All in all, it was a great day for everyone. Great fun. Mission accomplished.

And yes — I got my wings and my fix of Irish music at the Shamrock House. ☘️

Also, lesson learned for future parades: when the roads are closed, apparently they’ll still let a 10-year-old on a bike right through. 😂🚲

☘️ SUNDAY IN EAST DURHAM ☘️

Irish session this afternoon at The Shamrock House. Great food, great people, and an expert Guinness pour. ☘️🍺

A nice relaxing Sunday afternoon after jamming just about everything I could into Friday, Saturday, and this morning. 😎

Some wings, a pint or two, a full tummy… and now it’s time for a bike ride home. 🚲

But it’s not over yet. We still have tonight, and this town is jamming. 🎶☘️

The tractor parade was excellent today. 🇺🇸🚜 Thanks again to everyone involved. I love seeing the whole community come together and have a good time.

Even if the music isn’t electric… the town sure is. ☘️😎🇺🇸

UPDATE TO THE UPDATE 🚘🇺🇸🎶

First time ever for me… but I’m giving it a try.

An update to an update. 😂

Yesterday at the Rondout Valley United Methodist Church Car Show in Stone Ridge, NY, I posted an update and then went back around again.

Holy cow.

It was like I walked into a whole new car show.

More cars had rolled in. More people. More beautiful old iron. And I met some absolutely great people along the way.

This show was BAD ASS.
( can I say Bad Ass at a Church function lol 🙏)

Seriously — one of the best car shows I’ve been to in a long time.

Great cars. Great people. Beautiful country setting. And just the right atmosphere.

And the ’70s music on this reel says it all. That was the vibe. 🎶🚘

A little south of Kingston and well worth the beautiful country drive.

I thought I was going back for another quick look.

Nope. I had to make another reel. 😂

Great job to everyone at Rondout Valley United Methodist Church who put this together. You got this one right. 🇺🇸

WEEKEND AT A GLANCE

HAPPENING RIGHT NOW 🚗🇺🇸

I’m at the Rondout Valley United Methodist Church Annual Car Show in Stone Ridge, and there’s already a great crowd here.

Plenty of cars, trucks and people walking around, checking everything out and enjoying the day. I just made a donation myself. Always nice when a local event brings people together and gives everyone another reason to get out and support the community.

The show runs today until 3 PM at 25 Schoonmaker Lane, Stone Ridge, NY.

It is a good idea to come — and not only because Father Dave and I think so. 🙏🤠

SPY… THROUGH MY META EYE. 👀☘️❤️

Well, the weekend has officially begun.

Started the day this morning at HITS in Saugerties with the horses, and from there it was time to make the rounds.

Stopped into The Shamrock House and caught Kevin Kelly, Lazalette, Marilyn and Victor. Great people, great laughs — and yes, they knew the I Spy was coming. 😂☘️❤️

Then over to Five Furlongs, where another brisket was smoking and everything was getting ready for the weekend.

Gavin’s is all primed and ready to go. 🎶☘️

Then Blackthorne — always a great time. Good people, good atmosphere and plenty happening.

Got to say hi to my buddy Harold, who’ll be heading back to Florida on Thursday. Always good seeing you, my friend. ❤️

Last stop — McGrath’s. As always, they have a full entertainment lineup and plenty going on for the weekend.

🐴 Horses in the morning.
☘️ Irish country in the afternoon.
🎶 Music, friends and a few laughs along the way.
🔥 And eventually, back to the campfire.

It was a FULL day.

Looking forward to a great weekend here in the Catskills.

🐴 A GREAT WEEKEND AT HITS — WITH ONE SMALL PSA 😂

HITS was a big success this weekend, and I had a great day spending time around some incredible horses and some really wonderful horse people.

We are very fortunate to have HITS right here in Saugerties. It is an incredible venue and something our whole area should appreciate. The quality of the horses, riders and competition is impressive, and the draw HITS brings to our community is just as important.

Riders, trainers, families and spectators come into the Catskills, stay locally, eat in our restaurants, shop in our businesses and get to experience everything our area has to offer. It really is a privilege to have a venue and organization like HITS here.

I grabbed a bunch of short videos throughout the day — the horses, the jumping, the people and some of the victory photos.

Which brings us to today’s public service announcement. 😂

Jenn found out that gold chains and sunglasses might not be the best accessories when you’re around jumping horses and trying to get everybody together for the victory photos.

Somewhere between the horses, ribbons, people and pictures, things got a little tangled up. 😂🐴

Jenn is about as sweet as they come…

But don’t be like Jenn. 😂

Great horses. Great people. Great venue. Great day.
