Summit Mountain Lodge & Steakhouse/ Glacier National Park

Summit Mountain Lodge & Steakhouse/ Glacier National Park Located on the southeast corner of Glacier National Park on Highway 2 across from Marias Pass. No processed and no frozen.

Summit Mountain Lodge sits on the Continental Divide and Marias Pass Montana at 5200 feet and is at the southeast corner of Glacier National Park. This family owned lodge/resort has a top rated steakhouse on the property serving only local and fresh food. Historically the steakhouse is the iconic great northern train station built in 1906. The resort also has 9 furnished cabins which all include a

stellar view of Glacier National Park. They host some amazing destination weddings and have just created a 90 foot river and water fall with hundreds of wild perennial plants. The owner Ted Chase is a professional wildlife photographer and avid backpacker in GNP so he is the ultimate guide to get you around wildlife and the park. The restaurant & patio offer unsurpassed views of Glacier National Park and we are proud to say all food 100% handmade (including all sauces & marinades) in the kitchen. Our location gives guests a chance to breath in the fresh air, get lost in the tranquility, spot some wildlife or gaze at the historic Great Northern Railroad trains that pass by just as they did in the 1800's. We also offer free email on our free wi-fi and the patio areas are open all day long for leisure. Weddings: We host & plan beautiful weddings for up to 150 people at our lodge, see for yourself: http://glaciermontanaweddings.com/

*NEW - Our Glacier events room can accommodate up to 50 people and is perfect for private parties, weddings and retreats.

This Memorial Day, we remember the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. Their sacrifice deserves more than flags, speeches, and words of gratitude. It demands accountability from every leader who has the power to send Americans into harm’s way.

A true love of country does not require silence. It requires us to value the lives of those who serve, to question decisions that may cost more families their sons and daughters, and to refuse to treat war as politics, profit, or spectacle.

At the same time, so many people here at home are struggling through illness, loss, hunger, fear, and financial hardship. Patriotism is not only honoring those we have lost. It is caring for the people beside us and refusing to leave them behind.

Today, we remember the fallen. We honor their sacrifice. We hold tightly to one another. And we ask more of those entrusted with American lives.

Glacier National Park will implement a pilot vehicle reservation system in 2024, beginning May 24 for the west side of Going-to-the-Sun Road and North Fork and on July 1 for Many Glacier. To read more about the vehicle reservation pilot program, please see the press release on Glacier National Park's website: https://www.nps.gov/glac/learn/news/glacier-national-park-announces-a-pilot-vehicle-reservation-system-in-2024.htm

This will be the fourth year of piloting vehicle reservations in the park. The pilots help test the effectiveness of different approaches to manage high traffic volumes within the park while delivering quality visitor experiences. During an open comment period for 2024 Visitor Use Management Strategies, a total of 1,408 comments were received. Input from these comments has helped inform strategies for how visitors will access park areas in the summer of 2024. The comments along with a summary report can be found on the park’s 2024 Visitor Use Management Strategy web page: https://www.nps.gov/glac/learn/management/2024-visitor-use-management-strategy.htm
