Well, the time has come to close the Inn forever. Many of you know that my dad died in May and the Inn property went up for sale. It is being closed on Nov 1st. I'm heartbroken, but it's time to move on. I'm told that the new owner won't be running it as an Inn. Thanks to all of you that supported us in both the hospitality business and the lobster business. We are so grateful and we will miss you so. Until next time we meet, love and thanks from us.

There was double trouble on ALERT Saturday. Both cats sailed on their second trip with guests. The kittens have a lot to learn, ships cats in the making. They like finding places to hide below deck the best.

An unconfirmed shark sighting occurred this morning between Bailey Island and Pond Island (approximately .5 - 1 mile East of Bailey Island). The town urges beachgoers to not be fearful of Harpswell Waters, however please use this information when making your own educated decisions when recreating in the natural environment.
