In Memory of Dolly ❤️

Today, the world feels a little less bright as we say goodbye to a true American treasure, Dolly Parton. 💕✨

Dolly gave us so much more than beautiful music. She gave us laughter, kindness, generosity, hope, and a reminder that you can come from humble beginnings and still make an enormous difference in the world.

Her music became part of the soundtrack of so many lives, but her greatest legacy may be the countless people she helped simply because she believed in giving back and lifting others up.

From all of us here at Eddy’s Motel, we raise a glass to a remarkable woman whose light reached far beyond the stage.

Rest peacefully, Dolly.

We realized it’s been a while since we’ve checked in with all of you, so we wanted to say hello from Eddy’s Motel! ❤️

Summer has been flying by, and we’ve been busy behind the scenes keeping our little 8-room motel, grounds, creek, fire pits, and all the little guest touches we’re known for looking their best.

Whether you’ve stayed with us before, are planning a trip to beautiful Northern Michigan, or have simply been following along — thank you! Your support of our small, family-owned motel truly means more than you know.

We still believe a motel should feel a little more like home: friendly faces, a clean and comfortable room, a peaceful place to sit outside, and someone who actually cares that you enjoyed your stay. 🏡

🔨 Another project checked off the list at Eddy’s Motel! 🧱

Jackson has been hard at work giving this retaining wall some much-needed attention. He completely removed the existing blocks, carefully reset and leveled them, corrected the leaning sections, and secured the blocks with adhesive to help keep everything firmly in place.

We’re big believers that taking the time to do a job correctly—not just quickly makes all the difference. 💪

It’s always satisfying to see a project go from something that needed attention to something we can be proud of. Great work, Jackson! 👏

At Eddy’s Motel, the safety, security, and convenience of our guests are always our top priorities. To help ensure our parking areas remain available for registered guests, we are pleased to announce that Eriksen's Towing & Recovery of Boyne Falls, Michigan has been selected as our official towing and recovery partner for the removal of unauthorized vehicles from our property.

This decision wasn’t made lightly. Over the past 2 years, Eriksen’s Towing & Recovery has been there for many of our guests during unexpected situations—from vehicle lockouts and flat tires to ditch recoveries and other roadside emergencies. Their professionalism, prompt response, and commitment to helping others have consistently impressed both our team and our guests.

We are proud to partner with a company that shares our commitment to outstanding customer service and community support.

We appreciate Eriksen’s Towing & Recovery for everything they do and look forward to working together for years to come.

Please note that vehicles parked on motel property without authorization may be subject to towing at the owner’s expense.
