Boy what a year!!! I would like to "share" with you why I am Thankful...
this year, again as in prior years, my family... both by blood as well as countless others that have shared a bit of THEIR LIVES while staying & / or fishing here at the County Line "Fish & Play" OBX... GOD BLESS EACH & EVERYONE!!!

BTW... even though it may be raining in Manteo does NOT mean that it here in East Lake... yes...we do get rain sometimes however many times we're high & dry due to the Alligator River from which often "storms" follow the river & go past us, yep we do get rain once-a-while but often the storms follow the "river" & miss us completely!..... I plan to give the "Lake" a hair cut in the AM.... Everyone is welcomed....OH!!!! just for "GP" we are planning to have a 4th of July BBQ for our guests!!! Love to all...God Bless...Carolyn

Hello everyone!!!! Wow last night....well to be correct I saw the most spectacular light show that started approx. at 3am that went on for over an hour....it was followed by the roar of thunder..... as the storm approached the light show began to meet up with the lightning then it rained lightly...destroying any hope for me to give the lawn a "hair" cut,even if it didn't need it, but things cleared out quickly and I thought ...well I'll let everything dry out...go to Manteo for a few items then by afternoon I could mow...yea right... while in Manteo the bottom fell out...not light rain but RAIN RAIN! Coming back to the County Line the sky parted and walla... it stopped raining...so far but that rain storm that hit Manteo had hit here again...UGH!!! So if all holds like it is I'll be able to give the lawn a "hair cut:" by the morning...No the grass is not high but ....well I have my own idea of how I want things to be perfect for those that visit here at The County Line OBX! Here's hoping that I can accomplish my mowing standards... only time will tell however their is a bright side...the lawn will be soft to the toush, ha, ha... Looking forward to everyone joining in ....Call me at 757-647-2888 we still have room for guest, old - new , f9or the 4th & beyond as well as now!!! Love to all, Carolyn

On a sad but joyful note I want to thank everyone for all the kind memories of "Duke"....yes I miss him BUT how I was blessed to have his companionship for 17 years.... what a life we had & now he is in a even better life ahead,right? Thank you...everyone....he was special for both that got to know him as well as myself. God Bless

I have been questioned about our price rage.... cannot get into google or facebook...here it goes, I charge $10.00 per adult per day....kids under 15 are free, both 2 & 4 legged, 15 & up are 1/2 price......bring fishing rods....enjoy your dinner! Happy NEW YEAR I pray for everyone.... this year will be a a year to bring this place back to where it has been & more....ANY idea's or suggestions? I hope that everyone has & had a wonderful CHRISTmas and are looking forward to 2016 as I AM! Now that I have overcome many things, open for discussion upon request, I promise to you that this WILL be the greatest year since I opened my "County Line" from the beginning... I have people coming in to help me....some that I knew as my "adoptive sons" as well as others....many people thought that "Itchy"AKA Robert L. Whitney was my husband / other-wise...NOT He was one of my "sons" for 11 years of whom helped me with the property & at times myself....He Was & IS a good fella.... BUT now over being "ripped off" & having a major boo woo party IT'S OVER!
I will be taking photo's of the restoration of the County Line OBX. People are coming forth to help me...anyone wanting to join in are welcomed....just let me know @ 757-647-2888...heck just show up! I regret that I have not posted for a while... can temp you... the fish are still jumping & hitting hard &^&&&&&& I now after a 3 to 4 year fight with the National Park System I.....WON!!!! at this time we are perm. licensed to have a burn pit!!!! BUT I'm not "happy" with it so the plan is to move it to a safer location & enlarge it as well!...Keep in touch....you're always welcomed both old -n- new!
