As summer wraps up, we've been thinking back to where this all began. 🏕️

Did you know the cabins at Camp Kettlewood are genuine antique scout cabins? This land was home to the Girl Scouts of Wisconsin for over 50 years — and when we took over in 2020, we wanted to honor that. So we found authentic scout cabins, bought them, and moved them here.

Founded by a brewer and a bee-keeper, The Hive Taproom is a must-visit when you’re in the area. 🍺 🐝

It’s the local watering hole of East Troy, where people gather to catch up and enjoy unique meads, kombucha, and cocktails, all made with 100% local raw honey. Can't get more natural and authentic than that!

Let's be honest: these camping trailers are not luxury hotel rooms.

They're petite, they're vintage, and they've got decades of character baked in, like original wood paneling, retro curtains, and cozy corners that feel like a time capsule. And we're committed to preserving all of it — not renovating it away.

If you're looking for a spa weekend, we might not be your place. But if you love the idea of sleeping in a charming piece of camping history, waking up to birdsong, stepping outside to your own private acre of Wisconsin woods, and ending the day around a crackling fire, you're going to love it here. 💚

We may not have valet service at camp, but we do have golf carts.

Grab one up front, wind your way back to your site with your stuff, and return it for the next camper. A little retro, a little neighborly — and lots of fun!

It’s campfire season, and we thought we’d highlight another classic Girl Scout campfire recipe to add to your rotation. Presenting: Campfire Banana Boats! 🍌🔥

The Recipe:
→ Slice a banana lengthwise most of the way through the peel to the other side
→ Stuff with chocolate chips + marshmallows (or anything your heart desires)
→ Wrap in foil + cook in the coals 5–10 minutes
→ Grab a spoon and dig in

Gluten-free, naturally sweet, and delicious, it’s basically health food! 🌿
