🌨️❄️ Winter Storm Magic on Cape Cod -
Cape Cod National Seashore in the Snow ❄️🌊
A winter storm is rolling into Cape Cod, and the beauty is absolutely magical — especially along the Cape Cod National Seashore, where snow-dusted dunes meet the crashing Atlantic and the beaches are peaceful, quiet, and breathtaking.

Winter is one of the most stunning and serene times to visit the Seashore. With fresh snow, crisp ocean air, and wide-open beaches, it feels like you have the entire coastline to yourself. It’s the perfect season for scenic drives, quiet walks, photography, and soaking in the natural beauty that makes Cape Cod so special.

Here at the Inn at the Oaks in Eastham, just minutes from the National Seashore Visitor Center, we love sharing these peaceful winter moments as we prepare for our upcoming season. We officially reopen May 1, and reservations are already booking — so it’s never too early to plan your spring and summer Cape Cod getaway.

✨ Close to Coast Guard Beach
✨ Steps from Cape Cod National Seashore trails and dunes

One year ago today, we unlocked the door to a dream. All those hours of watching Gilmore Girls with my daughters-They led me here—because now, I live in Stars Hollow… only it’s called Cape Cod.I can’t believe how happy we are. I can’t believe all the wonderful souls who’ve crossed our threshold—guests, neighbors, new friends who feel like family.A very special thank you to Melody and Paul Edson—for picking up the phone every single time we called (and there were many calls). This past year has been hard work, beautiful work, magical work. And we are so grateful. Here's to the next chapter at the Inn at the Oaks—where every day feels a little bit like a fairytale.”

Charlie Hoad of Hoad & Associates is the heart and soul of our gardens here at the Inn at the Oaks. There’s truly nothing like a British gardener—refined, intuitive, and respectful of nature. Charlie and his team don’t just landscape; they enhance. Every bed, every path, every bloom is cared for with intention and artistry. We are so lucky to have them tending our grounds with such grace and expertise.

Late April at the Inn at the Oaks
Spring is quietly waking up outside the windows. A simple gathering of daffodils and a seashell from a nearby beach sits atop an old carved desk, warmed by the afternoon light. Cape Cod feels peaceful and full of promise this time of year — a reminder that even small things hold beauty.

Some weeks are filled with little moments that stay with you forever❤️This was one of them. We welcomed two wonderful sisters to the Inn who surprised me with the sweetest pastries from the Portuguese Bakery in Provincetown — a gesture that warmed my heart more than they know. We so admired a beautiful, inspiring guest from France who ran the Boston Marathon — a race that means so much to me, having grown up in Boston, and even more after everything the city has overcome. And just when I thought the week couldn’t hold any more memories, I became the proud new owner of a beautiful red Prius — the very car a dear friend and I once drove to Washington, D.C. to see Pope Francis back in 2014.Rest in Peace dear Pope Francis. 🙏Old memories blending with new ones... feeling so grateful for this life, this place, and the wonderful souls who find their way to us at the Inn at the Oaks.💕

There’s a quiet kind of magic to a rainy day at the Inn at the Oaks. The old Victorian walls seem to sigh with comfort, the wood floors, whisper underneath, and the scent of coffee mingles with the soft patter of rain on the porch roof. Outside, daffodils, nod gently, while hydrangeas, gather their strength beneath the damp earth – waiting, like us, for a little more sun. It’s a day for books, tea, and dreaming by the fire. Cape Cod charm, even in the rain.
