WE’RE FINALISTS! 🎉

We are thrilled to share that Hummingbird Inn has been named a finalist in all three categories we were nominated for in the 2026 Best of the Best – Chesapeake Community’s Choice Awards:

Best Bed & Breakfast
Best Wedding Venue
Best Event Venue

With more than 88,000 votes cast, this recognition means so much to us because it came from the people who stay with us, celebrate with us, recommend us, and continue to support Hummingbird Inn year after year.

To everyone who took the time to vote: thank you. Truly. We are incredibly grateful.

We'll announce the first-place winners at the Best of the Best Gala on Thursday, November 19, and no matter what happens that evening, we're very proud to be named a finalist in all three categories we were nominated for.

Thank you for continuing to support our little Inn in Easton and for helping us keep doing what we love. 💙

Peace, love, costumes & dancing ✌️🕺

Our Annual Community Halloween Party is coming up on Saturday, October 31, from 6–10 PM, and this year we’re going full 1960s! Open to all - (Must be 21 with valid ID to drink)

We’re excited to have DJ Peggy Castle of IDJ4FUN keeping the party moving all night. Peggy brings more than 40 years of DJ experience and a music mix built for a multigenerational dance floor — from classic disco and rock favorites to pop hits and modern remixes.

Come dressed in your best 60s-inspired look and join us for:
Live DJ • Costume Contest • Cash Bars • Free Community Event

And don’t forget — this is a true community potluck!

There is no admission fee, but we ask everyone attending to bring something to share as their contribution to the party.

It can be:

- a spooky-themed treat
- an appetizer or snack
- something sweet
- something savory

Homemade or store-bought is absolutely fine — just bring something to add to the community table.

A HUGE special thank-you to our community sponsors who help make this event possible:
