Our staff is on the way to the Island to begin assessing our properties following Hurricane Isaias. We are working diligently to determine which properties are safe and ready for occupancy.

Mandatory Evacuation Notice
Franklin County has issued a mandatory evacuation starting at noon today, October 8, 2026, for all Barrier Islands. We ask that you do not leave any parishable items in the refrigerators. We will share updates here as they are available.

11am NHC update on Hurricane Isaias.
Still strengthening. Similar track as before. Expected to peak at 110mph with some weakening before landfall. Winds now 85mph. Pressure 975mb. Moving ENE at 10mph.

Hurricane, Storm Surge, and Tropical Storm Warnings are now in effect for most coastal locations in the Panhandle and Big Bend. Inland portions of the Florida Panhandle and southwestern FL Big Bend are now under a Tropical Storm Warning.
Heavy rain, strong winds, storm surge, & tornadoes are all possible.

A Flood Watch is now in effect for most of the area Friday afternoon through Saturday evening. Widespread rainfall totals of 3 to 7 inches are forecast with isolated 10 inch amounts.
Rainbands swirling around Isaias will be capable of producing tornadoes as they move through FRI afternoon into FRI night across the FL Panhandle and western FL Big Bend. This is where there is a Slight (level 2 of 5) Risk for severe weather, mainly for tornadoes, for FRI.

The threat for tornadoes then expands across much of the area Saturday as a trailing rainband is forecast to remain over the area much of the day. There is a Slight Risk (level 2 of 5) for severe weather, again mainly for tornadoes, in areas highlighted in yellow.
Storm Surge Warnings are in effect for coastal locations from the Steinhatchee River westward through the Florida Panhandle.
Storm Surge Watch remains in effect for the Dixie County Coast.
Forecast surge value are attached.

The most reasonable time of arrival for tropical storm force winds is Friday afternoon into Friday evening across the Florida Panhandle. Have all necessary preparations completed by Friday morning.
