A guest told our innkeeper yesterday that pictures simply don’t do this place justice—and we couldn’t agree more.

We're Jennifer, Melissa, and Suzette—three Orcas Island residents honored to become the next stewards of the Inn at Ship Bay.

For more than two decades, Geddes and Mary Anna welcomed guests with a warmth and hospitality that made Ship Bay a place people returned to year after year. We are grateful for their trust and the opportunity to care for this special place.

The inn remains open for guests. The restaurant and bar are closed for now while we take time to settle in and thoughtfully plan for the future.

Almost exactly two years ago, we (Geddes and M.A.) posted about our decision to sell Inn at Ship Bay.

Now the paperwork is signed. We are excited for the new owners, who have the vision needed to move Ship Bay forward and into the future.

Spring has sprung and Inn at Ship Bay has accommodations open and ready for bookings throughout 2026! “Things” in “real life" have caused a pivot in plans for re-opening the Dining Room & Lounge for the next couple of months, will keep updating social media as Restaurant plans develop....
