Prayers For Kalvin

Kalvin Lynch’s dream of playing drums with Kid Rock came true, and now the country and rock community is coming together to pray for him.

The 17 year old drummer has been battling DIPG, an aggressive brain tumor. His Make-A-Wish request was to perform with Kid Rock, and that special moment became part of the “James 1:17” music video filmed at Kid Rock’s H***y Tonk in Nashville.

Kid Rock dedicated the video to Kalvin and recently shared an emotional message after learning that the young musician had entered special care. He told Kalvin that performing with him was an honor before asking his fans to pray for him.

That simple request has touched many people. Supporters have been leaving prayers and messages on Kalvin’s family prayer page, showing that even a small act of kindness can mean so much during a difficult time.

Kalvin has already shared his love of music with the world. Now fans are hoping to surround him and his family with as much love, strength, and prayer as possible.

Kid Rock stopped talking about his new album long enough to ask for prayers for 17-year-old drummer Kalvin Lynch.

Kalvin is living with an inoperable brain tumor, and his Make-A-Wish was not simply to meet Kid Rock. He wanted to play drums with him.

That wish happened, and the connection kept going. Kalvin was later honored in the video for “James 1:17 (Jesus Is King),” the first single from Kid Rock’s new faith-centered album.

A family-associated page reported September 23 that Kalvin was transitioning to hospice care. Kid Rock later called it “special care” and asked people to pray for him and his family.

Kalvin wanted one song with Kid Rock.

It became much more than one song.

I had not posted about this before, but my cousins child was diagnosed recently with a terminal cancer of the brain and spine that is very rare, and even though its only been months, he doesn't have much time left. He is 17 years old and he got his dream to play drums and meet Kid Rock, not only that, Kid Rock just released his new video with Kalvin playing the drums in his new video. He also just made and posted the video below tonight to Kalvin as he is not doing well. I wish there was more we could do or anyone could do but its in God's hands now!! We love you Kalvin and hope you keep playing the drums in your life after your time on Earth!!
