PLEASE ASK!
I just had a guest knock my Airbnb rating down because she felt the description was inaccurate. She did not read it completely! I've had would-be guests ask me about level of privacy, access, location, etc. and I would rather have someone decide to stay elsewhere than to come here and feel deceived.

SO . . . whether it's our little cabin or a different place you are considering, please be sure you know what you are booking! If you are looking for a remote location, or complete privacy (not on a shared property, for example) - ask the host your questions to verify it's what you are looking for.

I do the same when I'm checking out listings for travel. Your host wants all guests to be happy! As hosts, we would rather you book somewhere else if you feel our accommodations will not suit your needs or expectations.

Of course we want a good rating, but more importantly, WE WANT YOU TO BE HAPPY.

It's elm seed beetle time! While we do our best to keep the cabin sprayed and thoroughly cleaned, these pesky little creatures still find a way in. They are HARMLESS to people, but annoying nonetheless.

Our apologies for this little invader. If staying with us, please let us know if they become too numerous. We will be happy to come sweep or vacuum them up.

The best management of elm seed bugs is to seal cracks and crevices on the exterior of buildings so the insects cannot enter.
