🛑 I-24 SHUTDOWN — Both Directions, Western Kentucky

KSP Post 1 advised that I-24 eastbound and westbound lanes are about to be shut down on a stretch in western Kentucky. Drivers should expect significant delays and plan alternate routes.

The westbound right lane remains blocked.

𝗔𝗟𝗘𝗥𝗧 (𝗔𝘂𝗴. 𝟭𝟴, 𝟮𝟬𝟮𝟲, 𝟭𝟬:𝟯𝟬 𝗔𝗠) – Interstate 24 westbound lanes are blocked near mile point 54.8, at the Lyon-Caldwell County Line, due to a vehicle fire.

No estimated duration.

DETOUR: Exit I-24 WB via Exit 56 in Caldwell Co., travel south on KY 139, north on KY 93 and then use KY 293 to return to I-24 WB at Exit 45 in Lyon Co. Follow posted detour signs; use caution.

We appreciate our customers & hope everyone is having a great summer. We rarely have issues with checkout times, but have felt the need to send reminders this summer. Check-out time of 2pm must be strictly enforced as our reservations are in real time. Customers can book online & take immediate access of available sites anytime after 3pm the same day. Check-out times are posted on our website, on our registration building, & in the email confirmation upon making the reservation. Any customers who do not comply with our checkout policy is causing check-in delays for incoming campers & will be charged an extra day as stated on the website. Please be considerate of all campers & take time to familiarize yourself with our “Camping Rules” posted on our website.
