Spring is here and the ospreys have returned! We have been feeling especially grateful for this Island community and all of the wide open spaces to explore. Spending time outdoors is vital for our physical health, our immune systems, and our mental wellbeing during this time. With that said, it is so important to follow appropriate guidelines and maintain adequate social distance while exploring the great outdoors. Here are a few tips we have been following! 1. Plan a walk at times other than the busiest of the day. 2. If you encounter a crowded trail/beach, go elsewhere! 3. Maintain at least six feet distance between yourself and others. 4. Keep it casual—now is not the time to take up mountain biking... 5. Start from your door! Explore your own neighborhood. 6. Try to avoid trailhead railings and public benches. 7. Wash your hands before and after you leave the house and if possible, bring hand sanitizer!
